Epigenetics is a relatively new branch of genetics that has been touted as one of the most important biological discoveries since DNA. Until recently, it was believed you were stuck with the genes you were born with. But now it’s known that your genes get turned on and off and are expressed to greater or lesser degrees depending on lifestyle and outside factors.
What has been discovered is that your genes are much more than a predetermined template. Genes in your cells are actually extremely active and are expressed (started) all the time. “The study of what pushes the genetic buttons is called “epigenetics” (beyond genes) and it is a very hot topic in biology.” Dr. Gary Samuelson.
The recent study completed at Taueret Laboratories, a leading Genetic Research Lab, found some very interesting results on a group of 60 people. The test was to determine what happens to human genetic expression (which gene buttons are pushed) when people drink a certain safe formulation of redox signaling molecules (Asea).
The findings are significant. “The results showed moderate but significant differences in genetic activity between the study group and the placebo and control groups over 8 weeks. Five gene expressions were identified as different, the results were significant and very interesting for a variety of reasons. It was found that the genetic buttons pushed by these redox signaling molecules express some of the most important signaling apps available inside the cells.” Dr. Gary Samuelson
